The Capranica Theatre, which together with the Church of di S.Maria in Aquiro and the Capranica College is part of Palazzo Capranica, is one of the few XV century buildings survived to time and demolitions. It was commissioned –built up in several stages– by the Cardinal Domenico Capranica who thought it as a residence for his family and a college for ecclesiastic education. Palazzo Capranica is a typical pre-Renaissance roman building, facing the Capranica square in the centre of Rome.
